Heaven, India, or Israel?

by Nic Olson

The internet has a lot of information on lots of crap. For me, it is hard to read something and distinguish if it is true or if it is a made up bunch of crap. A friend of mine has decided to move to India for five months or so. He showed me a website that suggests Jesus’ body lays in a tomb in Shrinagar, Kashmir, India. Others believe that Jesus did spend time in India, but did so in that eighteen year gap before he started his ministry, to hone his meditation skills and so on. This website shows links between the Lost Tribes of Israel and the tribes in and around India, and talks about how Jesus may not have died on the cross, and moved to India afterwards to live and spread his word further to the Lost Tribes…

I’m a subscriber to George Stroumboulopoulos’ podcast, and I’m glad I am. This guy has loads of interesting guests, and can actually interview someone, unlike the amazing Oprah, who always turns it into a special about herself. Anyway, one of the interviews he did was with a man named Simcha Jacobovici, who was involved in a documentary called, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, with James Cameron (Titanic, Terminator). You may have heard about this documentary, and if you haven’t, you’ve probably heard about Terminator. This group of people suggest the idea that Jesus did die, and did resurrect from the dead and live among the people for a while. It also suggests the possibility of Jesus having a child. It claims to have found the bones of Jesus, as well as Joseph, Mary, James, and the son of Jesus, Judas. It poses the idea that Jesus died and then was resurrected and only ascended to heaven in a spiritual way, so the possibility of finding Jesus’ bones in a second tomb is not refuting what the Gospels say.

Oh man. Check out the websites, because my description probably tore apart what was actually presented. These are probably the most interesting things I’ve ever read in my life. And I don’t even know what to think of them.
